Overview

As a Family Practice/Primary Care Physician Assistant at Innovista Medical Center, you will work alongside the Medical Director to ensure the delivery of high-quality medical care. This role involves conducting patient assessments, developing treatment plans, and maintaining health records, while also participating in health promotion and educational initiatives.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct health history assessments and physical examinations
  • Diagnose patients and develop personalized treatment plans
  • Prescribe medications according to state regulations
  • Maintain accurate health records for each patient
  • Provide comprehensive medical services and ensure continuity of care
  • Deliver exceptional customer service through various communication methods
  • Perform minor surgical procedures as needed
  • Facilitate patient referrals for specialized services
  • Review and follow up on incoming reports in a timely manner
  • Adhere to departmental policies and continuous quality improvement initiatives
  • Participate in health promotion and education programs
  • Assist in updating clinical protocols
  • Engage in external medical public relations activities
  • Provide guidance to students and clinical staff

Required skills

  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) certification
  • Valid license to practice
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and treating medical conditions
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to patient care and safety
