Overview

The Medicus Firm is seeking a Family Practice Physician focused on outpatient senior care across multiple locations in Florida, Alabama, and Oklahoma. This role emphasizes a strong work-life balance with no hospital rounds, nights, or weekends, allowing physicians to concentrate on preventive medicine and chronic care management for Medicare Advantage patients.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide 100% outpatient primary care for seniors
  • Manage a low daily patient volume (typically 10-15 patients)
  • Focus on prevention, chronic care management, and building strong patient relationships
  • Collaborate with clinical teams including MAs, scribes, and care coordinators
  • Participate in a value-based care model prioritizing quality outcomes

Required skills

  • MD or DO - Board Certified/Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine
  • Active or eligible state medical license in FL, AL, or OK
  • DEA license and current CPR certification (BLS/ACLS/PALS)
  • Passion for senior/geriatric care and preventive medicine
  • Bilingual communication (English/Spanish) preferred
