Job Description

Overview

Tribal Health is seeking a Family Practice Physician for an outpatient primary care clinic in Rapid City, South Dakota. This role involves working in a collaborative environment to provide comprehensive care to patients of all ages while respecting the values of tribal communities.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide preventive care, chronic condition management, and acute illnesses treatment
  • Manage minor injuries, follow-up care, splinting, and suturing
  • Work within a shared schedule totaling 40 hours per week, 12-hour shifts on weekdays and 8-hour shifts on weekends
  • See approximately 18-25 patients per day
  • Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals including RN care managers and support staff

Required skills

  • South Dakota State license or willingness to obtain
  • BLS, ACLS, and DEA certifications required
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible
  • Cultural competence and team collaboration skills
  • Experience in outpatient care and patient management
