Overview

The Family Practice - With OB Physician role at ATC West Healthcare Services involves providing comprehensive care to adult and pediatric patients, including preventive, chronic, and acute care. This position is available either as a full-time primary care physician or ongoing locums coverage in Los Angeles, California, and emphasizes collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide preventive, acute, and chronic care services to patients of all ages
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans
  • Prescribe medications and monitor effectiveness
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EHR systems
  • Coordinate care with specialists and healthcare teams
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and clinical protocols
  • Manage a daily patient volume of approximately 20 patients

Required skills

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent
  • Active and unrestricted California medical license
  • Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Current DEA registration and BCLS certification
  • NPI number and eligibility for federal healthcare programs
  • Experience working with underserved populations preferred
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (eClinicalWorks preferred)
