As the Facility Chief Operating Officer with the Department of Human Services, you will take charge of essential administrative and support services that keep Wernersville State Hospital moving. DESCRIPTION OF WORK This role guides the administrative and non-clinical functions that keep the hospital running every day. It supports major operational decisions and ensures essential services are delivered well. As a Facility Chief Operating Officer, you will perform the following duties:Administrative Oversight: Manage financial planning, procurement activities, and non-clinical support services across the facilityPolicy Improvement: Review existing procedures and guide updates that strengthen operations and support the hospital's programsStaff Leadership: Supervise managers, conduct evaluations, and ensure departments meet regulatory and operational requirementsBudget Management: Direct preparation of operating and capital budgets, as well as recommend resource allocation strategiesContract Coordination: Negotiate agreements with vendors and agencies, as well as oversee contract performance and complianceRegulatory Compliance: Monitor operations and surveys to ensure adherence to laws, safety standards, and quality expectations Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employmentWork hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:Six years of professional experience in budgeting, accounting, purchasing, human resources, or management methods work, including three years in a supervisory or managerial capacity, and a bachelor's degree; orAn equivalent combination of experience and training, which includes three years of supervisory or managerial experience in budgeting, accounting, purchasing, human resources, or management methods work.
