Job Description Job Description Experienced Fire Alarm TechnicianAxcex Media LLC is hiring an experienced Electronic Security Technician - Access Control & CCTV for installation, service, troubleshooting, and commissioning work.This is a field-based position serving customer locations throughout the Virginia markets we support-not a fixed-jobsite position. Some regional and overnight travel may be required depending on project needs What You'll DoInstall, service, troubleshoot, and repair commercial access control and CCTV systemsDiagnose wiring, power, network communication, programming, and device problemsWork with access control panels, power supplies, relays, readers, door contacts, and request-to-exit devicesInstall and troubleshoot electric strikes, magnetic locks, electrified hardware, and related door equipmentInstall, aim, configure, and troubleshoot IP and analog camerasWork with video recorders, servers, switches, and network-connected security devicesRead drawings, wiring diagrams, and project documentationProperly install, terminate, label, and test cablingDocument completed work and communicate problems clearlyCoordinate professionally with customers, other trades, and project teamsStrong hands-on experience in either access control or CCTV is required. Experience with both is preferred but is not required.What We're Looking ForWe want a technician who understands electronic security systems-not someone whose experience is limited to pulling cable.You should be able to approach a problem logically, troubleshoot it, complete the work correctly, and represent Axcex professionally in front of our customers.Because Axcex supports multiple systems, you must be willing to expand beyond your current specialty. We will consider someone who is strong in access control or CCTV, provided they are willing to learn the other discipline and assist with fire alarm and related low-voltage systems as workload requires.Requirements include:Hands-on commercial acces control and/or CCTV experienceValid driver's license and acceptable driving recordAbility to pass required background checks and drug testingCompliance with our 100% tobacco-free workplace policyAbility to perform physical installation work and work at heightsAbility to lift and handle tools, ladders, equipment, and materialsProfessional appearance and conductAbility to work independently and as part of a teamWillingness to learn additional low-voltage systemsWillingness to travel when requiredAbout Axcex MediaAxcex Media is a nationwide systems integrator headquartered in Richmond, Virginia.
