Overview

MinistryHub is seeking an Executive Minister to lead the programs and clergy team at Riverside Church, a diverse and inclusive congregation committed to social justice. This pivotal role involves strategic planning, staff development, and program management, ensuring alignment with the church's mission.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee clergy and program staff on behalf of the Senior Minister.
  • Participate as a member of the leadership team with strategic planning and management.
  • Supervise and coach clergy to enhance leadership and program effectiveness.
  • Lead program development and implementation aligned with church priorities.
  • Establish measurable goals for program areas and monitor progress.
  • Cultivate collaborative relationships across program teams and stakeholders.
  • Monitor fiscal operations in collaboration with financial leaders.
  • Serve as a thought partner on organizational strategy and operations.

Required skills

  • Master of Divinity degree
  • Ordination in a recognized denomination
  • 7+ years of management or leadership experience in nonprofit/religious sector
  • 4+ years supervising and managing staff
  • Experience in a multicultural setting
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills
  • Strategic and cross-functional thinking
