Overview

Sanctuary Grande is seeking an Executive Chef to lead the overall operation of Dining Services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality nutritional services. This role involves planning and organizing food preparation while maintaining a clean and safe environment, and collaborating with other departments to meet the needs of residents.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and direct the overall operation of Dining Services.
  • Ensure the department is clean, safe, and sanitary.
  • Create decorative food displays and standardize preparation methods.
  • Assist in menu planning based on dietary requirements.
  • Complete necessary administrative forms and reports.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure dining services are maintained.
  • Develop and maintain rapport with community staff.
  • Delegate responsibilities to department staff.
  • Establish production lines for timely meal preparation.

Required skills

  • Culinary degree from an accredited institution.
  • 5 years of dietary/dining service experience in a supervisory role.
  • Training in cost control and food management.
  • Experience in diet therapy for healthcare residents.
  • Team leadership and kitchen staff supervision skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety and presentation.
