Overview

Carolina Estate Planning is seeking an experienced Estate Attorney to join their growing firm in Winston Salem, North Carolina. The role requires exceptional legal skills and a strong commitment to client care, providing guidance through crucial estate planning decisions and ensuring meticulous execution of customized legal plans.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain client files to ensure they are organized and up to date
  • Discuss asset distribution plans with clients
  • Advise clients on retirement plans, charitable giving, and insurance options
  • Consult with prospective clients and guide them through the estate planning process
  • Provide expert legal counsel and deliver quality estate planning and asset protection work
  • Research and design complex, customized estate plans including wills and trusts
  • Guide clients through the probate process with clear advice
  • Represent clients in uncontested guardianship and probate hearings

Required skills

  • Active North Carolina Bar license in good standing
  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • 5+ years of estate planning, probate, and trust administration experience
  • Strong communication skills in sensitive situations
  • Knowledge of complex trust planning
  • Experience with WealthDocx Estate Planning or ElderDocx software preferred
