Job Description

Overview

Manage the coordination and overall integration of architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, plumbing, process-exhaust, and environmental engineering activities for KIDE projects. Apply advanced proficiency in CAD to review construction drawings, use Revit to coordinate multidisciplinary building models and equipment interfaces, and use Glodon to analyze quantities, material requirements, and project costs. Use Navisworks to verify model coordination and identify conflicts among equipment, structures, pipelines, and building services, and apply Glodon to review project quantities and cost information. Coordinate the applicable KIDE stormwater, wastewater, condensate-recovery, pressurized-drainage, and process-exhaust liquid-collection systems included in each projects approved scope. Consult with clients and project stakeholders to define technical requirements and assess project feasibility. Evaluate facility use, process type, rainfall conditions, expected stormwater quality, environmental discharge requirements, wastewater treatment capacity, available drainage and reuse systems, site constraints, utilities, maintenance access, construction resources, schedule, and budget. Separately, when a project presents an identified need to divert contaminated initial rainfall before collecting cleaner later-stage rainfall, evaluate the patent-backed KIDE first- flush configuration using its mechanically actuated gate, weighted control tank, magnetic positioning arrangement, siphon connection, and filtration assembly. Produce a written design basis recommending whether the configuration is appropriate, identifying required capacity and interfaces, and documenting the technical reasons for its inclusion or exclusion Direct, review, recommend, and approve engineering designs and project modifications throughout design development and construction. Use expertise in CAD and Revit to evaluate equipment clearances, pipe routing, structural supports, valve accessibility, drainage elevations, maintenance spaces, and connections among process-exhaust, stormwater, wastewater, and HVAC systems. Review proposed changes affecting the KIDE sensor-directed scrubber-foundation drainage architecture, including pH measurement, controller logic, electronically actuated flow-diversion valves, one-way valves, filtration, treatment storage, chemical dosing, and mixing components. Apply CAD and Revit expertise to revise or review design details and use Navisworks to confirm that proposed changes remain coordinated with the approved project model. Prepare and review project budgets, bids, contracts, procurement packages, and cost estimates for engineering and construction activities. Apply Glodon expertise to examine quantity takeoffs, unit rates, material quantities, and bid differences, checking the results against approved KIDE design details, CAD drawings, Revit models, equipment schedules, and project specifications. Review commercial and technical proposals for the KIDE packaged rooftop wastewater-pumping arrangement, including its structural base, sealed collection tank, corrosion resistant centrifugal pump, drainage connections, accessible enclosure, inspection window, supporting components, filtered ventilation, and internal drying provisions. Recommend contract awards and expenditures based on technical compliance, lifecycle cost, constructability, and project risk. Develop and implement KIDE engineering policies, technical standards, design review procedures, quality requirements, and sustainability objectives. Establish criteria for stormwater segregation, wastewater containment, condensate reuse, corrosion resistance, pipeline materials, equipment access, structural support, commissioning, and environmental performance. Standardize CAD drawing requirements, Revit modeling conventions, and Glodon quantity and cost-control procedures across project teams. Incorporate the KIDE HVAC condensate recovery arrangement into applicable facilities to c
