Overview

Centrus Energy Corp is seeking a dynamic Lead Construction Project Manager to oversee complex construction projects in Piketon, Ohio. The role involves managing contracts, contractor performance, and ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and environmental standards, while fostering innovation and collaboration within a diverse team.

Key responsibilities

  • Directly manage construction contracts and oversee EPC contractor performance
  • Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and environmental standards
  • Inspire and direct a team of project management and engineering professionals
  • Proactively manage project risks and analyze project trends
  • Review and approve contractor invoices and purchasing documents
  • Foster relationships with stakeholders, including regulatory bodies
  • Articulate project status to senior leadership
  • Anticipate travel requirements of 25-50%

Required skills

  • B.S. degree in Engineering or Physical Science, or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience in design, construction, and/or operations of large-scale projects
  • 5+ years of direct management experience leading project teams
  • Advanced experience in managing programmatic elements of large-scale projects
  • Knowledge and experience in managing projects within nuclear facilities or similar regulated environments
  • Proven experience with DOE, NNSA, NRC, or DOD projects
  • Expert-level knowledge of construction, engineering, procurement, performance assurance, and project risk management
  • Extensive cost engineering functions experience, including estimating and control
  • Proficiency in planning and scheduling functions
  • Ability to establish and oversee project controls programs
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a Q level security clearance
