Overview

Senior Security Engineer Job Description We are seeking a Senior Security Engineer to help secure the next generation of connected vehicles. This role will focus on securing embedded controllers, vehicle networks, and cloud-based services that connect to them, ensuring products are resilient against evolving cyber threats while meeting global regulatory requirements. As a senior-level engineer, you will serve as a technical leader and security subject-matter expert, influencing architecture, development practices, and risk decisions across multiple product lines. You will work closely with embedded software, electrical systems, and cloud platform teams to implement cryptographic security controls. Key Responsibilities Define and review security architectures for embedded systems. Influence the design of new features across embedded, cloud, and mobile platforms to ensure security requirements are met. Design key management and access control mechanisms for resource-constrained embedded environments. Design and develop new security solutions to support autonomous systems. Collaborate with software, electrical, embedded, cloud, and platform engineering teams to address security risks. Apply secure coding and cryptographic security practices throughout the software development lifecycle. Contribute to security architecture, threat modeling, and risk assessment activities. Minimum Qualifications 8+ years of full-stack software development experience, with strong experience developing Python-based backend services. Strong Python coding experience, particularly for backend infrastructure and service development. Experience working with Linux distributions. Experience applying cryptographic security controls to embedded systems. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience developing or securing IoT devices. Experience with PKI, including certificate lifecycle management and key protection. Experience working in a DevOps environment. Experience developing AWS-native applications. Experience with embedded systems, connected vehicles, or vehicle networks. Knowledge of cloud security and secure software development practices.
