Job Description

Overview

Primient is seeking an Engineer 3 to optimize plant operations through process design, troubleshooting, and efficiency improvements. This role requires significant autonomy as the engineer will oversee complex projects and mentor junior engineers while collaborating across multiple sites to enhance operational standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to engineering projects that improve efficiency, safety, and product quality.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with engineers and production teams across different sites to standardize practices.
  • Analyze process performance data and develop solutions for energy consumption and production throughput.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Collect and analyze operational data to identify performance gaps and recommend improvements.

Required skills

  • BS in Chemical, Mechanical, Bio, Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in optimization and cost reduction initiatives
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
  • Technical expertise in process design principles
  • Proficiency in business systems (Microsoft Office, SAP, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Critical thinking, problem solving, and root cause analysis abilities
