Overview

Financial Controller to provide financial leadership and own financial integrity of a manufacturing/assembly and distribution business. Managing a small accounting team, you will be responsible for the accounting, financial reporting, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and internal controls. You will assist the company with a recent merger.Job Duties:Leading all aspects of accounting including financial reporting, month-end close, quarterly reporting, annual reporting, a/p, a/r, sales and use taxCoordinate external audits, tax, banking, insurance, and other finance-related dutiesInventory and cost managementFinancial Analysis - compile reports that support the business: budgets, financial statements, cash flow analysis, margin analysis, and capital investment analysisContinuous improvement of accounting and finance processes and automationProvide the business with advice around margins, opportunities, and improvement opportunitiesOversee inventory valuation, cycle-count and physical-inventory support, reserves, slow-moving or obsolete inventory, and inventory adjustmentsMaintain and improve standard-cost, actual-cost, landed-cost, and gross-margin analysis for manufactured and purchased productsPartner with Operations, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Supply Chain to analyze purchase-price variances, freight, labor, scrap and yield, production variances, and inventory turnsDesign, implement, document, and continuously improve internal controls that protect company assets and support reliable financial reportingRequirements:Bachelors in Accounting, CPA, Masters of Accounting or CMA is a plusMix of Public Accounting & Industry experience is a great background for this role. Straight from public accounting and industry accounting background also can be great fits. Ideally the person will have manufacturing, distribution, or similar background7+ years' experienceExperience rolling in newly merged/acquired companies is a strong plusHands-on experience with mainstream accounting software - SAP is a plusOutstanding communication skills and leadership skillsThis role is based in Arvada, CO - and is working in-office with some flexibility for some remote work after settling in.
