Overview

BAS Healthcare is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician to provide services at a critical access hospital in Valdez, Alaska. This role offers the opportunity to practice in a scenic and rural setting, with a focus on comprehensive emergency care and a meaningful impact on the community.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive emergency medicine services at a Level 4 trauma facility
  • Work 10-hour shifts with overnight beeper call responsibilities
  • Handle approximately 4 patient encounters per shift
  • Provide emergency, outpatient/primary care, and OB/C-sections as necessary

Required skills

  • Board Certified in Family Practice preferred
  • Rural health experience in ED, Hospitalist, and OB
  • Active Alaska license or IMLC
  • DEA registration
  • ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS certifications required
