Overview

ATC West Healthcare Services is looking for a Locum Emergency Medicine physician to cover PRN shifts due to a recruitment gap in a free-standing emergency department located in Michigan. The role offers support from full ED staff in a moderate patient volume environment, with shifts provided via email for those accepted into the McLaren float pool.

Key responsibilities

  • Cover PRN shifts in a free-standing Emergency Department
  • Manage an ED volume of approximately 30 patients per day
  • Perform standard Emergency Medicine procedures
  • Work with full ED staff support for admissions and transfers
  • Clock in/out using Doctime for timekeeping
  • Be part of the McLaren float pool for shift distribution

Required skills

  • Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (required)
  • 2+ years of recent EM experience for IM or FM physicians accepted
  • Active Michigan medical license (required)
  • BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications (required)
  • Clean background for expedited credentialing (required)
  • NPDB self-query dated within 30 days of presentation (required)
