Job Description

Overview

The Emergency and Trauma Physician Assistant role involves providing critical care in a level 1 trauma facility in Minnesota for a temporary assignment from May to July 2026. The position includes night shifts and requires board certification as well as a minimum of one year of inpatient experience, particularly in trauma or ICU settings.

Key responsibilities

  • Respond to the emergency department for trauma alerts
  • Facilitate discharges and ER admissions
  • Perform daily rounding and management of all conditions
  • Utilize Epic EMR for patient management

Required skills

  • Board Certified
  • ACLS, ATLS, PALS certified
  • Minimum 1 year practice in inpatient setting
  • Non-Invasive Vent Management (bipap/cpap)
  • Ventilation Management
  • Chest Tube Insertion
  • Central Line placement
  • Arterial Line placement
  • Suturing Minor Lacerations
