The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing all electro-mechanical equipment and machinery to ensure the smooth operation of the production process. This role requires a strong understanding of both electrical and mechanical systems, with a focus on improving machine performance, minimizing downtime, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Perform regular maintenance and repairs on electrical, mechanical, and automated systems, including CNC machinery, saws, routers, and conveyor systems. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Inspect and maintain electrical wiring, motors, controls, switches, and circuit boards to ensure functionality and compliance with safety standards. Repair or replace malfunctioning equipment parts, components, and devices to minimize downtime. Perform preventive maintenance as scheduled, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting machine parts. Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment or modifications to existing systems. Collaborate with production staff to ensure minimal disruption to daily operations. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage. Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reliability. Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements to ensure a safe work environment. Participate in team meetings and training programs to stay updated on the latest technology and maintenance practices. Support and contribute to the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives. WHAT YOU'LL BRING SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Technical Certification or Associate's Degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology or a related field preferred. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in electro-mechanical maintenance, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Experience in woodworking machinery maintenance is a plus. Skills: Proficient in the operation and repair of CNC machines, saws, routers, conveyors, and other production machinery. Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting techniques. Knowledge of PLCs, electrical wiring diagrams, and control systems. Familiarity with pneumatics and hydraulics. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team. Certifications: Electrical or mechanical certification is a plus (e.g., OSHA, HVAC, PLC troubleshooting). Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
