Job Description

Overview

The Electrical Design Engineer II at Rise Power Systems will be integral to designing and developing industrial and critical power equipment. This role emphasizes creating compliant, manufacturable electrical designs within a vertically integrated environment, focusing on UL-certified product lines.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop complete electrical designs including schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs
  • Utilize EPLAN for design development
  • Create wire routing and cable schedules for manufacturable builds
  • Ensure designs comply with UL, ANSI, and IEEE requirements
  • Maintain engineering documentation to support UL certification
  • Lead cross-functional design reviews
  • Support certification activities including type testing and routine coordination

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related discipline
  • 3-7+ years of electrical design experience in industrial control panels or power distribution systems
  • Strong experience with EPLAN Electric P8 and Panel Pro
  • Familiarity with 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX) or similar PDM/PLM systems
  • Experience with ISO 9001 design frameworks
  • Knowledge of UL certification processes
  • Experience with short-circuit and temperature-rise testing
  • Understanding of quality systems and continuous improvement practices
  • PLC/HMI programming experience is a plus
