Job Description

Overview

The Education Specialist at the Research Foundation of SUNY will work collaboratively with school teams across New York State to implement effective educational programs for children with autism spectrum disorders. This role involves delivering training in various formats and supporting families through special events and programs.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver training programs related to autism spectrum disorders.
  • Conduct training sessions for school personnel, families, and community professionals.
  • Participate in Center training activities and family programs.
  • Provide technical assistance to school personnel and families.
  • Complete administrative duties related to training and consultation.
  • Assist with operations of Center programs.

Required skills

  • Master's degree in psychology, education, special education, school psychology, or social work.
  • Experience working with children/youth with autism.
  • Ability to travel within New York State.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
