Job Description

Overview

SSM Health is seeking an Echo Sonographer to join their team at St. Joseph Hospital in Lake Saint Louis, Missouri. This role involves performing diagnostic procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics, catering to both adult and pediatric patients in a flexible PRN schedule.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic procedures and record patient test results
  • Monitor patient comfort and safety during tests
  • Maintain adequate supplies and ensure equipment is in working condition
  • Position patients and select appropriate technical parameters
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory agency standards
  • Submit high-quality images and documents to PACS
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in the department
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed

Required skills

  • Completion of Echosonography program
  • ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac Sonography
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS), Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS), or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac
  • Ability to stand, walk, and communicate effectively
  • Capability to lift and move patients, as well as objects weighing up to 50 lbs
