Overview

Transdev is seeking Paratransit Drivers in Hartford, CT to provide safe and comfortable transportation for passengers while delivering exceptional customer service. As a crucial part of our team, drivers will follow rigorous safety protocols and adhere to company policies to maintain high standards in every ride.

Key responsibilities

  • Execute operations by following designated routes and schedules
  • Ensure passenger safety and comfort through exceptional care and assistance
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Maintain cleanliness and readiness of safety equipment
  • Uphold company policies regarding seat belt enforcement and emergency responses

Required skills

  • Ability to obtain and maintain F, A, or V endorsements
  • Minimum 3 years of driving experience (personal or professional)
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and overnights
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and traffic regulations

What the company offers

  • Starting pay of $22.00/hr with potential pay increase to $23.50/hr
  • Sign-on bonus of $1000 with F endorsement and $500 without endorsement
  • Paid vacation up to 160 hours based on seniority
