Overview

The Division Order Analyst at Countrymark Refining and Logistics is responsible for analyzing and interpreting legal documents related to mineral and leasehold ownership in the oil and gas sector. This role ensures accurate ownership determination, proper revenue distribution, and compliance with state statutes by applying established business rules and legal interpretations from attorneys.

Key responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret legal documents such as contracts, deeds, and probate records
  • Calculate mineral and leasehold ownership interests
  • Ensure accurate and timely revenue distribution for owners
  • Maintain professional relationships with mineral and leasehold owners
  • Consult with oil and gas attorneys on title issues
  • Review and resolve suspense accounts and locate owners
  • Monitor changes in oil and gas statutes
  • Review and approve curative documents to resolve title defects
  • Process scheduled payments related to crude oil tickets
  • Provide guidance on payment, ownership, or ticket discrepancies

Required skills

  • 5-7 years experience in Division Order or Oil and Gas Land
  • High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Valid driver's license
  • Certified Division Order Analyst (CDOA) or Certified Professional Landman (CPL) certification preferred
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Effective communication skills
