Overview

The Division Order Analyst is responsible for analyzing and interpreting legal documents related to mineral and leasehold ownership in the oil and gas sector. This role ensures accurate ownership determination, revenue distribution, and compliance with state statutes by applying established business rules and legal interpretations.

Key responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret legal documents such as contracts, deeds, and assignments
  • Calculate mineral and leasehold ownership interests
  • Ensure accurate and timely revenue distribution for mineral and leasehold owners
  • Maintain professional relationships with mineral and leasehold owners
  • Consult with oil and gas attorneys regarding title issues
  • Review and resolve suspense accounts and unclaimed property
  • Monitor changes in oil and gas statutes affecting ownership
  • Review and approve curative documents for title defects
  • Process scheduled payments related to crude oil tickets and suspense accounts
  • Provide guidance on payment and ownership discrepancies
  • Attend job-related training seminars or conferences
