Overview

The New York Civil Liberties Union Foundation is seeking a Director of Statewide IT and Operations to oversee daily business operations for their NYC offices and six regional offices across New York. This role is crucial in supporting Human Resources and managing IT infrastructure while enhancing operational efficiency aligned with the organization's commitment to civil liberties and digital privacy.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee daily office operations to ensure efficiency and quality
  • Drive organizational safeguarding and risk management
  • Supervise IT personnel and infrastructure for a 100+ person organization
  • Manage IT procurement and budget
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and standards
  • Support the Director of People and Culture in managing HR and operational projects
  • Monitor performance metrics and identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on organizational-wide planning

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in operations management, IT management, or a similar role
  • Proven experience managing teams and projects
  • Experience managing complex IT infrastructure and cybersecurity
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Occasional availability for after-hours support for critical IT issues
