Skilled Nursing of Albany is seeking a dynamic Director of Nursing (DON) to lead and oversee nursing operations at their facility in Voorheesville, New York. The role involves supervising nursing staff, implementing policies, ensuring compliance, and maintaining high standards of resident care.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise and support all nursing staff
  • Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures
  • Oversee recruitment, hiring, and retention of nursing staff
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels and ongoing staff competency
  • Monitor nursing staff performance and conduct
  • Maintain awareness of clinical incidents and ensure proper follow-up
  • Assess and support the health needs of all residents

Required skills

  • Current New York State RN license
  • Prior DON experience in Long-term care
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in long-term care
