Overview

The Director of Maintenance & Reliability at Rise Baking Company will lead the establishment of a maintenance reliability organization across all manufacturing sites, working closely with Operations, Supply Chain, and Capital Planning. The role focuses on enhancing asset management, implementing standardized practices, and ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and lead a new enterprise Maintenance Reliability organization
  • Establish a standardized reliability operating model for Maintenance Managers
  • Develop asset strategies for critical equipment focusing on preventive and predictive maintenance
  • Implement lifecycle strategies for high-value assets to reduce downtime
  • Improve maintenance planning and scheduling practices
  • Own enterprise CMMS strategy and standards
  • Lead development of maintenance and reliability KPIs
  • Provide reliability leadership for capital projects and equipment overhauls
  • Train and mentor Maintenance Managers and reliability resources
  • Ensure alignment of reliability initiatives with cost reduction and operational efficiency

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in maintenance or reliability leadership
  • Experience leading multi-site reliability programs
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing performance metrics
  • Expertise in maintenance methodologies such as RCM and TPM
  • Knowledge of CMMS systems and asset management
  • Ability to develop equipment rebuild and lifecycle strategies
  • Strong analytical skills and effective communication
  • Experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments
