Overview

The Director of Maintenance & Reliability at Rise Baking Company will lead the establishment and management of a company-wide maintenance reliability organization. This role involves partnering with various departments to ensure high-performing asset management across manufacturing sites, driving productivity, and improving operational resilience.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and lead a new enterprise Maintenance Reliability organization
  • Establish and deploy a standardized reliability operating model
  • Develop and govern enterprise asset strategies for critical equipment
  • Define and implement enterprise rebuild and life cycle strategies for high-value assets
  • Improve maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution discipline
  • Own enterprise CMMS strategy and standards ensuring data integrity
  • Lead development and deployment of maintenance and reliability KPIs
  • Provide reliability leadership for capital projects and major overhauls
  • Build capability through training and mentoring of Maintenance Managers
  • Serve as the subject matter leader for maintenance practices
  • Partner with Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain on reliability initiatives
  • Support food safety and quality standards

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering
  • Minimum 10+ years in maintenance, reliability, or engineering leadership
  • Experience leading multi-site reliability programs
  • Understanding of manufacturing performance metrics and maintenance cost drivers
  • Expertise in maintenance and reliability methodologies
  • Knowledge of CMMS systems and maintenance planning
  • Ability to develop equipment rebuild and life cycle strategies
  • Experience building organizations and systems
  • Strong influence skills in matrixed relationships
  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills
  • Effective communication skills in a manufacturing environment
