Overview

MinistryHub is partnering with St. Andrew Presbyterian Church to find a Director of Family Ministries in Williamsport, Maryland. This role is aimed at leading, caring for, and connecting youth, young adults, and families within the church community, fostering their growth in faith and belonging. The position requires a relational and hands-on approach under the mentorship of the Senior Pastor.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead youth gatherings, Bible studies, and fellowship opportunities.
  • Build meaningful relationships with middle and high school students.
  • Support student leadership in worship and youth service events.
  • Create pathways for young adults to stay engaged after high school.
  • Develop gatherings and services that help younger generations connect deeply.
  • Coordinate educational programs and organized events for youth and families.
  • Assist in worship leadership and provide spiritual care.
  • Communicate clearly to ensure coordinated ministry efforts.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in theology, ministry, education, or related field
  • Experience in youth or young adult ministry
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic technology competency including Microsoft Office and social media
  • Ability to drive youth to activities
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
