Overview

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at Beacon Specialized Living Services, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges. Your responsibilities will include assisting residents in achieving personal goals, maintaining a safe environment, and providing daily care and support.

Key responsibilities

  • Encourage and guide individuals to meet their personal goals
  • Create a safe, supportive environment for individuals
  • Prepare meals and assist with housekeeping tasks
  • Transport individuals to appointments and advocate on their behalf
  • Administer medications as prescribed
  • Remain available for support in homes requiring round-the-clock care
  • Supervise daily activities and personal care
