Overview

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at Beacon Specialized Living, you'll play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges. Your work will focus on helping residents achieve personal goals and improve their quality of life through various supportive measures and daily activities.

Key responsibilities

  • Encourage and guide individuals to meet their personal goals
  • Create a safe and supportive environment
  • Prepare meals according to dietary specifications
  • Assist with laundry and maintain home cleanliness
  • Transport individuals to appointments and advocate for them
  • Administer medications as prescribed
  • Remain available 24/7 in homes requiring round-the-clock care
  • Supervise personal care, life skills, and social activities
