Overview

Associated Ready Mixed Concrete is seeking a full-time Diesel Technician II in Sun Valley, California. The role involves performing mid-level repairs on a variety of vehicle systems including hydraulic and electrical systems, while also adhering to safety and efficiency standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Diagnose and perform major repairs on vehicles using appropriate tools.
  • Conduct inspections and mechanical repairs on equipment.
  • Maintain records for BIT inspections, DVIRs, work descriptions, and work orders.
  • Ensure vehicles meet CHP/BIT/PM inspection requirements.
  • Replace and service brake systems, engine components, HVAC systems, and electrical systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to keep vehicles compliant with DOT standards.
  • Inspect and identify vehicle conditions on various equipment types.

Required skills

  • 4+ years of heavy-duty tractor maintenance experience
  • Experience with electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
  • Welding skills and experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Own tools required
