Community Transit is looking for Journey Mechanics to service vehicles in Snohomish County. This role offers opportunities for skill development and career growth in an expanding transit industry with a focus on sustainable transportation and advanced technology.

Key responsibilities

  • Service diesel and gasoline-powered equipment including electrical systems, diesel engines, air systems, suspensions, and brakes.
  • Utilize advanced tools and technology in a well-maintained shop environment.
  • Prioritize quality work and safety while meeting the demands of various mechanical challenges.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development provided by the company.

Required skills

  • 4 years of experience in mechanical repair on diesel and gasoline-powered equipment, or 2 years with a vocational progra
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting and safety protocols.
  • Proficiency in mechanical repair and problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with green technology and sustainable practices.
