Overview

As a Diesel Mechanic at SoCal Mobile Fleet Services, you will be a vital part of the team that ensures the maintenance and repair of fleet diesel equipment, including tractors and trailers. The company values customer satisfaction and aims for repairs to be done correctly the first time, providing a positive and efficient work environment for its mechanics.

Key responsibilities

  • Complete troubleshooting, repairs, and rebuilds on tractors and trailers
  • Perform preventative maintenance based on engine assessments
  • Utilize diagnostic software in the repair process
  • Document all work orders and repairs accurately
  • Identify additional issues during inspections and inform service writers
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Perform DOT inspections and repairs
  • Train and mentor other employees as needed

Required skills

  • 2 years of hands-on experience in heavy-duty diesel mechanics
  • Proficiency with diagnostic software
  • Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects (up to 50 lbs)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong attention to detail
