Socal Mobile Fleet Services is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join their team in Fontana, California. The role emphasizes the importance of quality repairs and customer satisfaction, providing a supportive environment where mechanics can utilize their skills and grow within the company. This position involves working with local dealerships as well as outside customers and offers opportunities for advancement based on performance.

Key responsibilities

  • Complete troubleshooting and repairs on tractors and trailers
  • Perform preventative maintenance utilizing diagnostic software
  • Document work orders and maintain organized records
  • Identify additional issues during repairs and communicate with service writers
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies
  • Train and mentor other employees as needed
  • Perform DOT inspections and repairs
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area

Required skills

  • 2 years of hands-on experience in heavy-duty diesel mechanics
  • Diagnostic software proficiency
  • Customer service skills
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects
  • Valid driver's license
  • Understanding of work order completion
