Overview

Dynamic Equipment Group is seeking a Diesel Field Mechanic with over 10 years of experience to lead service operations and perform complex repairs on heavy construction equipment. This role requires technical mastery and autonomy, as well as the ability to mentor junior technicians and ensure safety compliance in a dynamic work environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform high-level preventive maintenance and advanced diagnostics on heavy construction equipment.
  • Ensure all equipment is job-ready for customer delivery.
  • Complete detailed service reports and maintain meticulous documentation for repairs.
  • Communicate with the Service Manager to provide labor estimates and job updates.
  • Maintain a clean, OSHA-compliant workspace and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Proactively track and follow up on required parts for projects.
  • Mentor junior technicians.

Required skills

  • 10+ years of experience as a Diesel/Heavy Equipment Mechanic
  • High school diploma or GED required; Technical Certification preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret schematics
  • Proficiency with diagnostic software and electronic service tools
  • Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
