Overview

The Virginia Tourism Corporation (VTC) is looking for a Destination Development Manager to work in the SWVA - Blue Ridge Highlands and Virginia Mountains Regions. The role involves collaborating with tourism industry partners to develop community-based tourism programs and products while providing strategic planning and technical assistance.

Key responsibilities

  • Facilitate the development of community-based tourism programs
  • Provide tourism strategic planning and technical assistance
  • Present to local, regional, state, and federal organizations
  • Offer cooperative marketing assistance to communities and small tourism-oriented businesses
  • Connect tourism industry representatives and small businesses with VTC services

Required skills
