Job Description

Overview

Direct the technical review and approval of structural analysis models, calculations, and engineering design assumptions for industrial and photovoltaic manufacturing facilities. Apply COMPANY INTERNAL ETABS Model-Setup and Parameter-Selection Practices to control structural idealization, loading assumptions, boundary conditions, analysis parameters, interpretation of analytical results, and technical-review criteria. Review structural information developed through commercial engineering platforms such as ETABS, STAAD Pro, and AutoCAD, determine whether the model and calculations accurately represent equipment loads and actual facility conditions, and require correction, supplemental analysis, or escalation when assumptions or results fall outside COMPANY INTERNAL review criteria before approving the structural design for release. Evaluate structural feasibility and modification strategies for photovoltaic manufacturing facilities, integrating production-equipment loads, existing-building capacity, facility layouts, utility interfaces, construction access, installation sequencing, and operational constraints. Apply COMPANY INTERNAL photovoltaic-facility structural design and review methodology to determine whether new equipment can be supported by existing framing, whether reinforcement is required, or whether an independent structural system should be developed. Direct comparison of alternative framing and reinforcement schemes through structural calculations, constructability review, equipment-layout coordination, and installation analysis, and approve the solution that satisfies structural performance and project requirements while limiting unnecessary modification of operating facilities. Translate client production and facility requirements into controlled engineering design criteria and approved multidisciplinary decisions. Apply COMPANY INTERNAL Design-Review Procedures to evaluate equipment layouts, production requirements, structural loading, environmental conditions, utility demands, construction restrictions, and other project inputs and determine how each requirement affects architectural, structural, and engineering disciplines. Establish the resulting technical design basis, direct responsible disciplines to incorporate the applicable criteria, resolve conflicts involving competing structural or production requirements, and exercise senior design authority over significant revisions. Approve coordinated design criteria and controlled design changes before they are incorporated into subsequent design stages or issued project documentation. Provide technical governance for procurement, vendor-data review, and construction-related engineering decisions within COMPANY INTERNALs EPC projects. Apply COMPANY INTERNAL structural calculation methodologies to evaluate vendor equipment loads, support requirements, material substitutions, field conditions, and proposed changes that may affect structural demand, capacity, or constructability. Determine whether vendor information is complete enough for engineering acceptance, direct recalculation or redesign when loads or configurations differ from approved design assumptions, and assess whether proposed substitutions create additional structural or multidisciplinary impacts. Issue documented technical recommendations and engineering approvals for use by project management, procurement, and construction personnel in implementing technically acceptable solutions. Govern the development, revision, and application of COMPANY INTERNAL engineering standards and quality-control practices for U.S. projects. Evaluate recurring calculation issues, design-review findings, construction feedback, field conditions, and lessons identified during project execution to determine when COMPANY INTERNAL Standard Details or Quality-Control Requirements require revision. Direct preparation or modification of controlled calculation templates, standard structural details, technical review checklists,
