Overview

Cell Staff is seeking a licensed Dental Hygienist for a full-time, contract position in Pierre, SD. The role involves collaborating with a healthcare team in a correctional facility, performing various dental procedures, and ensuring quality oral health care for inmates.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling and root planning, and fluoride treatments.
  • Conduct comprehensive oral assessments and document findings.
  • Administer periodontal therapy and manage periodontal disease.
  • Capture and interpret dental radiographs for diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Provide individualized oral hygiene instructions to inmates.
  • Assist with dental emergencies within the facility.

Required skills

  • Graduation from an accredited educational institution
  • Licensed Dental Hygienist in good standing
  • 1+ year of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of preventative dentistry and periodontal therapy
