Overview

Reports to: Accounting and Grants ManagerOVERVIEWThe Nonprofit Reporting Assistant supports the organization's reporting needs by gathering data, preparing reports, and ensuring accurate and timely dissemination of information. This role is crucial for maintaining transparency and accountability within the nonprofit sector. This is a salaried position.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSData Collection and ManagementGather and compile data from various sources, including program activities and financial records.Maintain and update databases to ensure data accuracy and accessibility.Report PreparationAssist in the creation of regular and ad-hoc reports and SOPs for internal and external stakeholders, including funders, board members, and regulatory bodies.Ensure all reports comply with nonprofit reporting standards and donor requirements.Data AnalysisPerform basic data analysis to support program evaluation and impact assessment.Identify trends and insights from data to inform strategic decision-making.Communication and CoordinationCollaborate with program managers and other staff to gather necessary information for reporting.Communicate effectively with stakeholders to clarify report requirements and address any discrepancies.Provide staff training when necessary.Documentation and ComplianceMaintain thorough documentation of data sources, methodologies, and reporting processes.Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and reporting guidelines.Other DutiesStay current with changes in nonprofit requirements and practices.Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTSHigh School Diploma/GED minimum; Associate's in Business Administration, Communications or related discipline preferredCoursework or certification in data management or analysis.Familiarity with nonprofit environmentStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data management tools.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Basic understanding of data analysis techniques.Good written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently or part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Must be 18 or olderBe able to complete I-9 Employment Eligibility VerificationBe able to complete a background check (prior convictions may not necessarily disqualify an applicant)This job description is a general overview and may be subject to change based on the organization's needs and priorities.WORKING CONDITIONSFull-time position, typically 40 hours per week, with occasional evening or weekend work as needed.Work is performed in an office environment with regular use of standard office equipment.BENEFITSVoices of Hope offers a very competitive benefits package for all full-time employees including:Accrued PTO (up to 80 hours the first year)Self-Care time offPaid holidaysCommunity Service time offSimple IRAMedical (100% premium paid by employer for employee)Dental (100% premium paid by employer for employee)Vision(100% premium paid by employer for employee)Life Insurance (100% premium paid by employer for employee)On the Job trainingCompensation details: 24.04-24.04 Hourly WagePI8d2869d5-
