Overview

The CT Technologist Per Diem role at Holy Cross Hospital involves operating X-ray scanners to perform CAT scans on patients of all ages, while adhering to strict protocols and infection control guidelines. This position requires variable shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays, with a focus on delivering compassionate care within a holistic healthcare setting.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform CT procedures accurately and proficiently
  • Utilize PACS and RIS systems according to protocols
  • Demonstrate knowledge of computer language and cross-sectional anatomy
  • Practice proper sterile technique and adhere to infection control guidelines
  • Interact professionally and courteously with all contacts
  • Administer medication/contrast media as per physician's orders
  • Recognize and respond to contrast reactions
  • Serve patients across all age groups

Required skills

  • Graduation from an accredited school of Radiology Technologist
  • Experience as a CT Technologist preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritize work and handle stressful situations
  • Florida CRT Radiology license
  • ARRT certification
  • ARRT (CT) certification
  • BLS certification
