Job Description

Overview

The CT Technologist at SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital in Lake Saint Louis is responsible for performing computerized tomographic procedures to help diagnose diseases and injuries. This role requires adherence to established protocols and safety guidelines while providing excellent patient care in a full-time capacity of 36 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare and position patients for procedures
  • Select anatomic and technical parameters accurately
  • Administer contrast media and medications as per regulations
  • Monitor patients during procedures and report any abnormalities
  • Recommend updates to protocols as necessary
  • Follow radiation safety procedures
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required skills

  • Completion of Radiology Technology program
  • ARRT-R Radiography certification
  • ARRT-CT Computed Tomography certification (or equivalent)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
