Overview

Market Street Staffing is seeking a Critical Care/Trauma Physician Assistant for inpatient coverage in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role involves managing patients in a level I trauma center, performing daily rounds, and conducting ED consults while collaborating with other healthcare professionals.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to diagnose and treat medical conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Prescribe medications and manage chronic conditions
  • Provide patient education and counseling on healthy lifestyle choices
  • Perform procedures as permitted by state regulations
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care
  • Document patient care accurately and thoroughly

Required skills

  • Active Minnesota licensure
  • Board certification
  • AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS and ATLS certifications
  • Minimum 1-year Trauma Surgery/Critical Care experience
  • Strong clinical knowledge and assessment skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in performing physical examinations and procedures
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
