Job Description

Overview

As a Controls Specialist at Clarios, you will be responsible for the continuous improvement of plant processes and equipment with minimal supervision. This includes design and PLC programming changes, as well as mechanical and electrical documentation to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.

Key responsibilities

  • Implement design and PLC program changes
  • Lead plant teams in developing process improvements
  • Provide technical support for plant operations and capital projects
  • Act as a liaison between plant and division engineering personnel
  • Monitor processes including new equipment to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Coordinate with quality control and manufacturing to meet product standards
  • Identify and strategize solutions for recurring downtime

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Manufacturing preferred)
  • Minimum 1 year of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 1 year of PLC programming and ladder logic experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Solidworks, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience in Robotics programming and troubleshooting (Fanuc / Denso preferred)
