Overview

MBA Consulting Services, Inc. is looking for an experienced Accessibility Construction Manager to oversee facility accessibility upgrades for the US Postal Service's Accessibility Compliance Team. The role involves managing repair and alteration projects to ensure compliance with accessibility standards, especially related to the Leased Space Accessibility Program.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage all alterations concerning Postal Service Accessibility Standards based on the Architectural Barriers Act.
  • Perform site surveying, develop cost estimates, and review construction documents.
  • Oversee minor construction projects within a designated US geographical region.
  • Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor project progress.
  • Prepare reports for upper management regarding project status.
  • Lead and direct the work of outside vendors.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or graduate degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management
  • 7+ years of experience in facilities projects and minor construction
  • Experience with ABA compliance
  • Familiarity with public-sector concepts and practices
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to travel minimally and work flexible hours
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check & drug test
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
