Overview

The Construction Laborer role involves assisting carpenters and skilled tradespeople in various remodeling and renovation tasks for a residential remodeling company in Montgomery County. The laborer will engage in hands-on construction activities, ensuring efficient and safe operations on the job site.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist carpenters and skilled tradespeople with remodeling and renovation tasks
  • Measure, cut, and assemble materials such as wood and drywall
  • Perform demolition, site preparation, and cleanup duties
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials and tools
  • Operate basic hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
  • Help with framing, drywall installation, trim work, cabinetry, and finishing tasks
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site
  • Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

Required skills

  • 1-3 years of construction, carpentry, or general labor experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of construction methods, tools, and materials
  • Ability to read a tape measure and follow instructions accurately
  • Physical ability to lift heavy materials (50+ lbs)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
  • Ability to speak English
  • Willingness to travel throughout Montgomery County
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
