Overview

Parrent LLC, a family-owned commercial contractor in Wichita, is seeking a Construction Estimator to lead their bidding department. This role requires an individual ready to take ownership of estimating processes, ensuring accuracy and profitability while developing strategies for growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform accurate quantity takeoffs using PlanSwift or preferred software
  • Develop templates and refine estimating database for efficiency
  • Collaborate with Project Management and Superintendent team to finalize proposals
  • Identify potential profit leaks before project initiation
  • Build relationships with vendors and suppliers to maintain a full pipeline
  • Mentor junior estimators as the department scales

Required skills

  • 5+ years of commercial construction estimating experience
  • Proficiency in on-screen takeoff software, preferably PlanSwift
  • Understanding of commercial and retail construction scope including MEP, Millwork, Carpentry, and Concrete
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with owners, vendors, and GCs
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in bidding

What the company offers

  • Base Salary: $75,000 - $95,000 DOE
