Overview

MinistryHub is partnering with First Church Jonesboro to find a Connections Pastor who will provide spiritual and relational leadership to help newcomers engage and find belonging within the church community. This role focuses on overseeing life groups, volunteer systems, and fostering mission engagement, aiming to facilitate meaningful connections among members.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide spiritual and relational leadership within the church.
  • Oversee life groups and leader development.
  • Coordinate and support volunteer and hospitality systems.
  • Engage with and support a growing community.
  • Lead and guide life group leaders through training and mentoring.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on church calendar and sermon series.
  • Develop community partnerships and mobilize local missions.
  • Assist with pastoral care tasks including hospital visits.

Required skills

  • Strong relational and communication skills.
  • Organizational and administrative skills.
  • Theological training (Bachelor's or Master's in theology or biblical studies) preferred.
  • Experience in effective ministry leadership.
  • Ability to build trust and connection with diverse groups.
