Overview

MinistryHub is partnering with First Church Jonesboro to find a Connections Pastor who will provide spiritual and relational leadership. The role focuses on helping individuals transition from merely attending church to actively participating in the community and mission of the church through building relationships and strategic pathways.

Key responsibilities

  • Pursue a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Champion the mission and vision of First Church Jonesboro.
  • Maintain a visible presence during Sunday services and special events.
  • Identify, recruit, and train Life Group leaders.
  • Lead Life Group huddles and provide mentoring for leaders.
  • Collaborate with church leadership on sermon series and Life Group calendars.
  • Produce video content for Life Group semesters.
  • Assist with creating weekly bulletins for sermon notes.
  • Develop community partnerships and lead mission trips.
  • Oversee hospitality teams and help members find volunteer opportunities.
  • Assist with pastoral care through hospital visits and support for senior adults.

Required skills

  • Strong relational instincts and high emotional intelligence.
  • Excellent communication and relational skills.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Experience in effective ministry leadership.
  • Theological training preferred (Bachelor's or Master's in theology or biblical studies).

What the company offers

  • Salary range: $70,000-$80,000 annually
