Overview

The Compliance Testing Manager at Capital One is responsible for overseeing transaction and control testing to ensure processes and controls mitigate risks effectively. They manage a team of compliance testers, support testing efforts, and ensure compliance with various regulatory requirements in the financial services context.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a team of Compliance Testers
  • Develop and validate test plans
  • Evaluate accuracy of tests executed by compliance testers
  • Manage testing schedules to ensure timely completion
  • Identify needs for improved data sourcing
  • Establish relationships with Compliance Advisors and Business Areas
  • Support compliance audits and exams
  • Partner with the testing team to design tools and metrics
  • Evaluate data management processes for improvement opportunities

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or Military Experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in financial services compliance or audit
  • 2 years of people management experience
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Experience with compliance auditing and quality assurance
  • Knowledge of financial regulations (FCRA, FDCPA, ECOA, etc.)
  • Ability to navigate Google and MS Office applications
